A major component in Filippa K’s quest to make all 0f its collections sustainable by 2030 is the set of garments called Front Runners. These are pieces developed one material at the time–as sustainably as is possible. The idea is for the Front Runners to guide the way towards achieving the brands’ sustainability goals.

The latest material to be assessed is Filippa K’s second most used–wool–and three Front Runners made of recycled wool–two coats and a skirt–have just reached the stores. And wait, there’s more! Sharing some of the insights gained from the Front Runners process, and simoltaneously providing a platform for brilliant people and projects related to making fashion more sustainably, a new site has been launched. Filippa K Circle is a space dedicated to big thinkers with bold ideas aiming to change the system from within – check it out here and don’t miss Filippa K’s Sustainability Director Elin Larsson’s introductory letter here.
